Electric motorization for pallet trucks, handling tractors and AGVs

Rage Mechanics designs electric traction for light handling equipment: pallet trucks, handling tractors, mobile warehouse robots (AGVs and AMRs), cart pushers, order-picking carts.

We work for manufacturers, system integrators and rental companies retrofitting their fleets.

Specific needs in material handling

Handling equipment requires high torque at low speed, with starts under load.

Macro-maneuvers must be precise, featuring smooth acceleration and braking.

On robots and vehicles with independent drive wheels, two motors must be controlled in sync.

Transitioning to lithium brings a lighter battery, opportunity charging, and a lifespan monitored by the BMS.

Fleet management relies on operating hours, battery status, and maintenance alerts.

What Rage brings to material handling

We replace lead-acid batteries with a lithium pack and its BMS, sized to the machine's format, with tailored charging management.

Building blocks to be adapted according to specifications.
ElementWhat we offer
MotorsHub or shaft output, sized for starting torque
ControllersSingle or dual motor, CAN bus communication
Lithium batteries and BMSCustom-made, lead-acid battery replacement
DisplayState of charge, faults, hour meter
Fleet softwareHours, batteries, alerts, history per machine

For an AGV, tractor, or specialized vehicle, we also design a dedicated controller that communicates with your PLC or navigation software.

Our controllers communicate with your PLC or robot via CAN bus, following a protocol defined together in the specifications.

For mobile robot integrators, we supply the rolling base, dual-motor traction, battery, and BMS, controlled by their own navigation software.

Two motors controlled in sync, a fleet in service

None of our published projects concern a handling vehicle just yet.

However, two key areas of expertise relevant here are already operational: controlling two motors with two controllers, and motorizing an active everyday fleet.
