The Sonken 160mm is our entry-level reinforced disc: 3mm thick, very sturdy, at a price that lets you equip both wheels without hesitation. For riders who use their scooter on the road and are tired of warped stock discs, this is the right choice; for track use and very high speeds, choose the E-Watts instead.

Why a 3mm reinforced disc?

Stock scooter discs are 1.8 to 2mm: they warp under the first hard braking and heat up quickly. A 3mm disc absorbs the energy of high-speed braking without deforming, maintains consistent pad contact, and supports 4-piston calipers like our Hope Tech 4 V4.

Installation

6-bolt 44mm spacing, standard for MTB/scooters. Check that your caliper accepts the 3mm thickness (Hope V4 does) and the chosen diameter (caliper adapter required if upgrading from 140 to 160 or 180mm).
