RM-X: 50,000 W and 173 km/h on track, a scooter entirely made by Rage

The RM-X is Rage Mechanics' performance electric scooter. Its motor, controllers and chassis are designed and manufactured in the Lyon workshop. With 50,000 W, it reached 173 km/h, measured on track: a world speed record.

The client and context

The RM-X is Rage Mechanics' demonstrator: it showcases what the workshop can design and manufacture on its own.

The motor, controllers and chassis are made in-house, in Lyon, and conceived together from the start.

The videographer RAFTOR dedicated a video to its speed record.

The challenge

Pumping 50,000 W through such a short machine, then hitting 173 km/h on track, requires a motor, controllers and battery pushed to their limits, without losing stability.
