Electric motorization for Formula Student, the Shell Eco-marathon and research platforms

Rage Mechanics designs motors, controllers, batteries and telemetry tools in Lyon for engineering schools, student teams and laboratories building a vehicle or robotic base.

What student teams and laboratories experience

A student team renews almost entirely every year and yet must deliver a reliable vehicle by a fixed competition date.

Off-the-shelf components are often closed and impossible to tune, or designed for automotive use and out of budget range.

A laboratory needs a platform from which it can read and log all data, not a black box.

What Rage brings to schools and laboratories

Controllers compatible with the industry's benchmark tuning tool, batteries with communicating BMS, telemetry to exploit every test, and bench or track testing to validate the powertrain before competition.

To be confirmed with each competition's regulations.
ProjectWhat Rage provides
Electric Formula StudentOn study: controllers, BMS, telemetry
Shell Eco-marathonMotor, controller, telemetry
Research platform (test vehicle)Complete chain, data accessible via CAN bus
Mobile robot baseWheel motors, dual controller, battery

For a research project or a competition team, we also design dedicated controllers, featuring the inputs, outputs and data logs your platform requires.

Two records set on track

We have not yet published a project carried out with a school.

Like student teams, we aim for measured performance: top speed for the RM-X, 24-hour range for the Systemics Tuk-Tuk.
