The 72 V 40 Ah Performance battery is engineered for the Dualtron Thunder and Thunder 2 with upgraded controllers, or for riders tired of power cut-offs under hard acceleration. Its Samsung 40T or Molicel P42A cells deliver up to 400 A peak, where the stock battery maxes out at 140 A: your controller finally receives the current it demands, voltage sag on steep inclines is eliminated, and your dialed-in power is truly unleashed.
Important note before ordering: this pack fills the entire internal deck compartment; controllers must be relocated externally (see our extended deck kit).
Riders running stock controllers with factory settings do not need a Performance pack: a high-capacity Long Range battery delivers the same utility at a lower cost. The Performance pack truly shines with upgraded or reprogrammed controllers (VESC, raised battery current limits), competitive track use, or heavier riders pushing a high-output machine.
All our battery packs are custom-built in our workshop in France, using exclusively Tier-1 branded cells (Samsung, LG, Molicel). Each pack integrates a dedicated BMS managing charge, discharge, cell balancing, and thermal protection. Pricing includes the battery pack, heavy-duty discharge leads, and charging harness; charger sold separately. Shipping available to Mainland France, Corsica, and European Union countries only (regulated dangerous goods shipping). 2-year warranty.
The BMS connects to a free app available on Android and iOS; full setup instructions and app details are supplied with your order.
Both are premium 21700 high-discharge cells offering identical performance; we assemble with either cell model depending on factory inventory, without any change in rated capacity or continuous output.
